- As the somewhat provocative title of this article suggests, draining of swamps and other means of disease vector control.
- Refrigeration. General food safety improvements.
- Pasteurising milk. That would cut the transmission of TB markedly.
- Indoor plumbing.
- Indoor bathing -- showers and baths.
