For a car to (temporarily)operate you need none of this "Critical Info". I have driven vehicles that only had a working gas gauge so you knew when to actually fill it up.

I think you can pretty tell whether you are sticking to the speed limit or not. If you have had your license for more than two minutes you can easily gauge if you are going 25 or 50+ miles per hour. You can drive in the slow lame and keep to the speed of the slow moving traffic when in doubt.

Saying you crashed your car because your speedometer wasn't working means your shouldn't be driving a car period. Maybe that is the problem today, we rely on information just being fed to us that we lost the ability to function without it or even being able interpret information around without it directly being given to us.
