I'll be driving my little Mazda hatchback for longer than I expected. It's a manual transmission. Automatics are much better than they used to be, but I still love the feel of shifting gears.

My next vehicle will be a used something.

Does the definition of Luddite change with each generation's shift in technology?

Same here. 2015 Mazda3, manual transmission. Very good car. It does have a touchscreen in the center display but it also has dedicated buttons to navigate near the drivers hand on the center console. Our touchscreen has glitched on us and evidently we missed the free replacement period. In addition, two of the corners have developed cracking like shattered glass due to age. All things considered this is a great fuel efficient car.

I definitely would not buy a vehicle with a full-screen digital display like the one in this article. The Mazda3 is our newest vehicle. My other daily drivers range in age from 32 years to 16 years.
