Some weeks ago, I listened to a Bloomberg interview with Altman where he was joined by someone from OpenAI who does the programming. There was obvious disagreement between the two, and the interviewer actually made a joke about it. Perhaps Altman was destined to become the next SBF. Too much misrepresentation to the public, telling people what they want to hear..

Can you please try to recall and link to the interview? I'd love to see it.

I listened to that and I'm pretty sure it was this [0] interview with the WSJ, Altman, and Mira Murati. If I'm wrong about that, well, it's still of interest given Mira Murati just took over running OpenAI.

@justin66 is correct. It was WSJ Tech Live, not Bloomberg. What I was referring to happens at 7:32 in the video.

Altman answers questions like he is a ChatGPT. Freedom to bullshit.

I watched that clipped and you're wrong it's a completely normal interaction. Murati says "we're always working on the next thing" and Altman jokes "haha that's such a diplomatic answer" and the interviewer is like "who paired these two?". It's just standard humor.

Altman reacts the how Murati answers a question, implicitly suggesting he might have answered it differently. He could have just kept quiet. Whether this is significant is left as a question for the observer, however, in addition to me, the interviewer noticed it and felt the need to comment.

Personally, in this interview I sensed a disconnect between Altman and Murati, possibly others working at OpenAI. Usually Altman is by himself in these interviews; there's no one else from OpenAI. It led me to suspect Altman was telling interviewers what they wanted to hear.

Yeah, that seems like a very normal interaction.
