I got contacted by your HR staff a while ago, but I am getting kind of annoyed by the "just complete this coding test / large online form" before technical staff will even speak to me.

Its definitely put me off applying to a few places recently as I don't want to spend an hour and a half just to get a chance to interview somewhere.

The form would take you a couple of minutes to complete. Also, the test we have currently, doesn't take more than one hour if you know what you're doing. Then you get to speak with the appropriate team.

We know that we're not the best in our application process but since we have a lot of applicants, we need to try to save our own time as well as the candidates time. Hence, a very short and simple test for people to complete.
