Who are we? Way back in 2009, two Waterloo students founded TextNow with the aim of providing a better alternative to traditional wireless plans and services. Today, TextNow and TextNow Wireless are in the hands of more than 50 million users.
What do we do? Our free app provides users with their own phone number, cross-platform functionality and the ability to make free calls and texts across North America.
We're also the world's first all-IP, cloud-based mobile provider. Our proprietary software allows for TextNow Wireless calls to make use of the strongest network available, resulting in the best user experience at an ultra-affordable cost.
