I think it would be helpful to explain that you changed the URL from that blog with a short collection of photos from Copenhagen Suborbitals along with a link to their homepage to just the Copenhagen Suborbitals homepage itself.

The latter doesn't have any very recent news, so I was left wondering what exactly the submitter was expecting us to discuss... Though I would be up for discussing the 2nd part of their blog post on Rocket Design: http://copsub.com/how-to-design-a-space-rocket-step-23/

Why? The original link seems to be have extensive photographic content which isn't readily accessible at the new link (if at all?), and also explicitly directed people to the main site if they wanted factual info.

Interesting case. You thought 'Copenhagen Suborbitals' itself was news, when the value of the link was in the pictures (everybody already knows they exist). Was intervention really needed, what prompted the change?

It isn't a question of "news". Much of the content that appears on HN has been around for a while. The only newness criterion is that a story not have had significant attention here in the last year or so.

What prompted the change? HN prefers original sources, and stories consisting (nearly) entirely of pictures tend to be treated as lightweight. The site has worked this way for years.
