If a service is only available through an app from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store then use of that service is dependent on acceptance of either Alphabet's Terms Of Service, or worse, Apple's TOS. Considering these two organisations play fast and loose with universal human rights and have been fined multiple times for consumer-hostile behaviour... well, I'd say that consumer protection organisations should really do something about this.
