Ruby folks maybe this is a silly question, but why DHH it’s still relevant in the ruby ~community~ user group?

I work with Python since 2009 and I just discovered the name of the guy that created it 2 years ago.

Are you confusing ruby with rails? DHH created the latter, not the former.

I think DHH tries to also speak for ruby, not just rails.

Nope, the two "communities" are largely disparate. They have different philosophies and different leadership.

Ruby with Rails. Just read the full article about him.

Sure was the creator and I got that. But from what I heard his positions and part of the "community" not liking his ideas, what prevented someone to do a fork, let's say Ruby on Trails, and get a more community driven approach?
