I have absolutely zero reason to believe "AI" is better of in the hands of Altman, Brockman etc and most of the public would feel similar.

Personally, I don't have a trust problem with AI per se, I have a problem with the technology being locked behind closed doors.

My point is, if whatever they're doing is dangerous, I don't see what is actually special about Altman and Brockman having control of dangerous things. They seem completely motivated by money.

I'd trust scientists, AI experts who aren't in a for profit company with some government oversight over Aman and Bman.
