That's why I qualified it.
If you want the general public to use your software, you need to make it easy for them or they won't. Otherwise you're just as entitled as those demanding things of developers - expecting others to do something for them. If you don't care who uses it or not then you don't need to do anything for other people.
Not sure why that triggers people.
