I think you're mistakingly thinking Mira Murati was on the board. That is not the case. The board is Adam D'Angelo, Helen Toner, Ilya Sutskever, and Tasha McCauley after Sam and Greg were removed. Mira Murati was not involved except for the fact she was made the initial replacement. For all we know she had no information on what happened when she was asked to step in.
