I mostly struggled with the fact that OpenAI's influence extends far beyond the borders of the United States. Yet, its board is constrained by the US residents, limiting the ability to cultivate empathy locally. Such a viewpoint is both difficult and rooted in exceptionalism when it comes to designing gov policies.
