So out of 4 people who fired Sam, 3 of them have conflicting interests with OpenAI. Adam more clearly as his company is creating ChatGPT's competitor, and Tasha and Helen's employer are funding Anthropic.

The curious part was how did investors including Microsoft missed this in their DD. Or they found out but they wanted to invest in OpenAI so bad that they let go of this fact.

Poe is just a proxy for other third party AI bots, I don't see it as a very direct conflict of interest.

They have their own assistant as well. It's on top of poe.

It's quite bad now but for someone like Adam with dataset like quora, he likely has bigger plans.

Interesting that Sam is also an investor in Quora: https://blog.samaltman.com/quora

It’s convulated

Yes and the killer feature of Poe for me is the easy access of several models _besides_ OpenAI. They are there too but they are also on ChatGPT. The interesting bits are the rest, like an Anthropic AI and open source model interface, and customizing bots around those.

4 board members left post Microsoft’s purchase.

Minus that they are in direct competition to the GPTs and the "app store" and "revenue sharing" that Sam announced on dev day.
