I thought he was gay? I don’t know if I’ve heard of gay men sexually molesting little girls before. Not saying it’s never happened, just that it seems kind of rare and unexpected.

Molestation is about power and opportunity, the gender of the victim is often inconsequential. You'll find plenty of straight pedophiles who abused victims of either gender, and the same with gay offenders.
