The solution is to apply the right tooling to the right task, to maximize ROI:

* The DIR (do it right) tooling, which always is in limited supply, is best for building things that have a high lifetime impact. It could have direct impact; it could be a gear in the foundation of many future products.

* The CBF tooling is for low lifetime impact work. Inevitably, because you are human, you'll use your CBF tooling at times. Know when that is happening and apply it to the right project: For example, the quick script to clean and transform some unique data.

In other words, the advice in life is always the same: Know thyself.
