Well, if you are the type of carpenter that afford doing the
best drawers and dominate your market, you can probably work slower. e.g. Some luthiers sell their instruments 5 years before their completion.
If you're the middle-end drawer maker, then you probably will put plywood on the back so that you can build more in less time and call it a day.
And in the end no one will ever see it.
