This piece just seems like clickbait. In the real world of corporate software every decision involves triage. A sane developer asks themselves if the value added by doing it perfectly vs just good enough is worth the hassle and extra time, and often it isn't. Do those "CBF" decisions sometimes come back to haunt us? Of course, but the solution isn't to try to be a "perfect" developer that never releases anything to production b/c they're constantly optimizing.
