Microsoft is trying to replace Chrome on Windows with Edge pretty hard. How far are we from Windows Store popping up when trying to buy a game on Steam and offering a discount or informing you that the game is on Game Pass?

Only after the Activision acquisition goes through, they need to pretend they're friendly for a bit.

I would argue it's slowly already happening, for instance with the game grounded, you gave to register with Microsoft to play multi-player
