It should be rainy season in the Philippines now but it's hotter than it was on summer. I have to shower 3 times today cause it's too hot

India on the whole currently has a Monsoon rain deficit of ~20%. This is expected in El Niño years.

I suspect some of the excess evaporation off the subcontinent is precipitating over Sri Lanka. We haven't had a drought in ages and it feels like our monsoon seasons are getting longer and longer.
