To everyone saying it's because of a shortage of "high value" partners or whatever, put the MGTOW and FDS down and look around. Marriage is expensive and divorces are expensive. Financial independence and liquidity these days is valuable, maybe even more valuable than the marriage tax break. If you don't care about marriage in a religious sense I personally feel like there isn't much incentive to be married anymore, especially when so many people are renters. What community property is there to share?
