I loved my 3DFX cards but there was a moment where I realized that a Nvidia Riva TNT would properly accelerate OpenGL 3d applications (3dsmax in my case) and it was over. 3DFX didn't implement OpenGL properly at the time. It always felt like something was broken if you were outside of Glide.
