Heh, so every so often, I read an L5 or Pinephone review and they say "I had some weird problem with MMS and it never worked". Naturally, since none of my apps have any tracking with them, I have no idea what happened or what is wrong. Thus, I reach out to the author to file a bug or send me logs. If they respond, they go "sure, I will get around to it", but I have yet to have it happen.

I tell that story because I wonder if you ever reached out to Martjin or any of the developers. It may be the first time they have ever seen the crash. You may have found an interesting corner case that they can fix for you.

Unpaid FOSS developers owe you absolutely nothing. This kind of self-entitled behavior and snarky comments are some of the major reasons why unpaid devs burn out and stop contributing.

Don't be one of the people to blame for developer exodus away from FOSS.

That's not a nice way to treat contributors.

Bugs are the community's responsibility. Anyone who works on them (reporting, fixing, testing) should be commended.

I doubt we'd have anywhere near what we have without Martijn and Megi.

I wrote the camera driver for the selfie camera, and parts of a sensor interface driver, and the driver gives you a green tint by default. So I'm blameable if the parent commenter dislikes the green tint. ;)
