Where are the pro-consumer advocacy groups from last time? EFF? FSF? They haven't even briefly mentioned the issue at hand.

Both groups are a shell of its former self, either sprouting unjustified clickbait or being silent on the dangers that matter.

For them the battle starts when you cannot add your own root or doing silent attestation. Before this is a reasonable feature.
