Some time ago I suggested to integrate [1][2] ReactOS with QubesOS to run Windows programs in secure domains - it's problematic to do properly with the real Windows.

Ah I see. It’s because they based their OS around windows 7 (up to) and so it is possible for newer programs to use newer apis and ReactOS wouldn’t be forward compatible. That sucks but given that information just installing Windows is the only proper solution.
