On one hand, Elon absolutely has a point that OpenAI has not been acting in concert with the purported principles of their founding and nonprofit status.

On the other hand, Elon is not a neutral party in this, not only is he enough of a narcissist / megalomaniac to be upset about someone else (Sam) being the center of attention, but he's scrambling to throw in with his own competing AI which is rather unlikely to hold any deep commitment to the "benefit of humanity" either.

How about you stick to arguing their points, rather than jumping to ad hominem?

You seem to think for-profit driven motives don't have a corrupting ability, which makes me think you don't understand corruption?
