That's hardly any different. Nobody makes a difficult decision without any reason, and it's not like they really explained the reason.

It is a very big difference to publicly blame your now ex-CEO for basically lying ("not consistently candid") versus just a polite parting message based on personal differences or whatever. To attribute direct blame to Sam like this, something severe must have happened. You only do it like this to your ex-CEO when you are very pissed.
