This is a beautifully done website. I found a book on knots at a used bookstore and bought it. I got a few lengths of paracord and tried them all out. It's a great way to spend an evening. Quite relaxing and doing something physical with my hands was a great stress buster too.

Any specific suggestions for rope to buy? I love the idea of practicing at home in my living room.

You can buy kits from proknot.com The one I have comes with two small lengths of cord and two small carabiners (I'm a climber).

My only complaint is that the cord tends to be a bit stiff but that's unavoidable if you're using real cord.
