A society ends up nourishing something that destroys it, because the intolerable is under no obligation to play fair.

Germany has sharply limited censorship laws. I do not oppose them more out of respect for the victims of Nazism than any genuine agreement that they do good; but I will oppose their expansion. I do not think they are useful; I think they are limited in harm.
