Of course, it makes sense that vetting, trust and the additional discipline and communication effort required for remote positions can be significant.

However, please keep in mind that much of this can be mitigated by real evidence of past track record accomplishments that establish the ability to fit in with the team, the mission, and your requirements, while still making strong contributions.
